Built on the reinforced housing of the TD-W, this version adds a second worm gear. Driving the slewing ring with two worms raises the dynamic torque, reaching up to 40 kN·m of nominal torque compared with up to 27 kN·m for the single-worm TD-W, at the expense of rotational speed. It is designed for heavy, slow-turning applications that need that extra torque. Available in four sizes, from the TD-W14-2RA to the TD-W25-2RA.
This version features a double row of balls, allowing it to support higher loads. The second row of balls increases the load capacity and stiffness of the slewing ring: at the same size, a TD-2-E carries around 50% more axial static load than the equivalent TD-E, along with a higher tilting moment. It keeps the compact, enclosed worm-gear design of the TD-E, making it the natural step up when an application outgrows the single-row version. Available in five sizes, from the TD-2-E9 to the TD-2-E25.
Without the housing, our open version is lighter and more affordable. The worm gear meshes directly with an externally toothed slewing ring, resulting in a simple design with fewer components that is easy to access for inspection and maintenance. It is a cost-effective choice for applications that do not require a fully enclosed drive. Available in two sizes: the TD-O-14 and the TD-O-17.
